08/08/05 Contact: John McKay Phone: (702) 486-5127, extension 3501 NDOW RANGE DAY IN LAS VEGAS Las Vegas area hunters and shooters should mark Saturday, September 10, on their calendars for Nevada Department of Wildlife (NDOW) Range Day. For seven years NDOW Range Day has provided hunters a place to safely and legally sight in their firearms for the upcoming big game seasons. Desert Sportsman’s Rifle and Pistol Club, 12201 W. Charleston Blvd., will again co-host the event. The club has reserved their 300-yard range for the day. Range officers and NDOW Hunter Education instructors will be standing by to insure safety and to provide personalized instruction with range time and targets are provided free of charge. Shooting starts at 8 a.m. and runs through 5 p.m. There will be a maximum of 20 shooters per hour with each shooter able to reserve at least one hour of range time. Interested sportsman should call the NDOW southern region office at 486-5127 ext.3501 to reserve a time. Sight in your guns at NDOW Range Day.
