Frontiersman presents day in the life of Lewis & Clark
Brown County State Park program set for July 2
Brown County State Park nature center will host historic interpreter Leo
Finnerty of the George Rogers Clark Memorial as he presents two 7:30 p.m.
programs on Saturday, July 2 and Friday, July 15.
Both programs are held at the nature center’s outside amphitheater. Rain
location is the Nature Center Auditorium.
In his program, Finnerty will depict a day in the life of explorers George
Rogers Clark and Meriweather Lewis, using costumes, props and equipment. His
presentation involves children and other audience members, who will help
decide what items he will need to take along with him on this famous trip.
This event is offered free of charge, except for the regular park entrance
fee ($4 per vehicle; $5 per out-of-state vehicle). Donations are always
welcome.
