Catches Tagged Fish Worth $100 In Merchandise From Clyde’s Sport Shop In
Baltimore
TILGHMAN — David Daisey of Tilghman has caught the first
sponsored fish of the Maryland $1,000,000 Fishing Challenge. On June 17,
Daisy caught a 25-inch striped bass (tag #8) near the Sharps Island
Lighthouse. The fish was sponsored by Clyde’s Sport Shop located at 2307
Hammonds Ferry Road in Baltimore. Daisey won a $100 gift certificate to
the store for his catch.
“I caught the tagged fish the same day the fishing party I was with won a
fishing tournament and another $900,” said Daisey. “What a day great day
of fishing on the Bay!”
There are 94 fish sponsored by 21 different stores, organizations and
charter boat operators in the Maryland $1,000,000 Fishing Challenge and
the prize for each is worth at least $100. Prizes include gift
certificates to bait and tackle shops, full day charter fishing trips,
discounts on charter trips and even $500 in cash!
