2005 Georgia Games Shooting Championships

Georgia marksmen will be taking aim at championship gold as Griffin Gun Club, Tom Lowe Shooting Complex, Big Red Oak Plantation and Fort Benning Pool International Range Complex host the 15th annual Georgia Games Shooting Championships July 9th and 10th.

Patterned after the Summer Olympics, the Georgia Games give amateur athletes of all ages and skill levels the opportunity to compete in a true amateur sport competition.

General shooting events will include: BB Gun, Smallbore Rifle 3X40 and Prone, International Standing, Rimfire Sporter, Rimfire Benchrest .22 Rifle, Air Rifle 3X20, Western 3 Gun, skeet, trap and sporting clays.

The general shooting fee is $15.00 for the first event, and $10.00 for any additional event. Eligibility extends to Georgia residents of all ages. Skeet and Trap cost $40.00 per event, while Sporting Clays costs $50.00. Shooters have the option of competing in both Skeet and Trap for $75.00 or

all three events at the price of $120.00. Marksmen from South Carolina and Tennessee can participate for an additional $5.00. The entry deadline is July 5th.
