Frankfort, KY -  The Kentucky Department of Fish and Wildlife invites kids under 12 to the Game Farm Lakes in Frankfort for a Fishy Fun event Saturday, June 25 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The lakes have been recently stocked offering young anglers a good chance to catch to catch fish. All equipment, bait, instruction, and a light lunch (hot dogs, chips, and punch) are provided through the Salato Wildlife Education Center. The cost of the event is $5 per child, parents may eat with their children for an additional $3. Group size is limited to 15. Registration and pre-payment are required in advance.

The Salato Wildlife Education Center is operated by the Kentucky Department of Fish and Wildlife located at the Game Farm three miles west of Frankfort on U.S. 60. Hours of operation: Tuesday through Friday 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., Saturday 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sunday 1 to 6 p.m. The Center is closed Mondays and state holidays.
