Bike Rodeo Set for Sunday, June 26 at Delaware Seashore State Park

Youngsters of all ages are invited to join Delaware State Parks rangers and Mike Love of the University of Delaware Community Traffic Safety Program from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Sunday, June 26 at Delaware Seashore State Park's South Inlet Day Area for a bicycle safety rodeo.

Participants will maneuver through a colorful obstacle course emphasizing basic skills and decision making, plus learn about topics such as helmet safety, maintaining bikes and avoiding hazards. Bikes and helmets will be available but participants are welcome to bring their own.

The event is free but the park's daily entrance fee will be in effect. For more information, contact Ranger Andy Manning at 302-227-2800.

Delaware Seashore State Park's South Inlet Day Area is on Route One just south of the Indian River Inlet Bridge.
