Contact: Mindy Taylor Rendezvous on the Wabash set for June 18-19 at Ouabache State Park Hoosiers interested in Indiana pioneers, trappers, traders, mountain men, Native Americans and outdoor living skills are invited to Ouabache State Park in Bluffton June 18-19. This pre-1840 encampment-living history weekend will feature blacksmithing, hawk throwing, a covered wagon, and various interpretive naturalist activities. The encampment will take place next to the park’s fire tower, starting Saturday (8 a.m.-7 p.m.) and running through Sunday (8 a.m.-3 p.m.). The only cost is the park admission fee ($4/vehicle; $5/out-of-state vehicle).
