Lake Ashbaugh’s access road will be rebuilt
DELAPLAINE - The Arkansas Game and Fish Commission will rebuild a deteriorating road serving Lake Ashbaugh in Greene County in northeast Arkansas.

The road is 1.7 miles long, leading from Arkansas Highway 304 near Delaplaine to the AGFC-owned lake and to Dave Donaldson/Black River Wildlife Management Area. The lake is on a tributary of the river.

The access area with a boat-launching ramp is the primary access to the lake. Greene County Judge Jesse Dollars will have county road crews prepare the road for the overlay project.

The road project will cost about $140,000. Money for the project will come from Marine Fuel Tax funds, which are state taxes paid on gasoline and diesel used in boats.
