DLNR to Begin Restroom Renovations at Wailuku River State Park

 
HILO —Department of Land and Natural Resources (DLNR) will begin making renovations to provide ADA accessibility at Wailuku River State Park - Boiling Pots section.

Work will consist of improvements to the walkways, parking area, observation area and the comfort station. An accessible parking stall, a passenger loading area, new signage, and ramp up to the observation area will be constructed. The comfort station interior will also be renovated and made ADA accessible.

The park will remain open during construction. The contractor will erect temporary barricades around facilities and construction areas for public safety. Temporary portable toilets will be provided when the restrooms are closed for renovations.

Isemoto Contracting Company will begin work on May 16, 2005, and is expected to be completed by the end of September 2005.
