Public Meetings Set for March 29, 30 on Revised Management Plan for Delaware National Estuarine Research Reserve

The Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Control, Delaware National Estuarine Research Reserve will hold public meetings Tuesday, March 29 and Wednesday, March 30 to accept public comments on a revised management plan for the Reserve through 2009.

The March 29 meeting will be held from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the St. Jones Reserve Center, 818 Kitts Hummock Road, Dover. The March 30 meeting will be held from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Blackbird Community Center, Townsend.

Both meetings will include a presentation on the projects and management of all Reserve properties and programs, and a period for public comments. The management plan has been developed consistent with the provisions of Section 315 of the Coastal Zone Management Act of 1972 (16 U.S.C. 1461), as amended, and the Delaware Coastal Management Program.
