Hunters Rewarded For Filing Reports

It pays to file your mandatory big game harvest report in Idaho. Just ask 10 hunters who are receiving a big bonus by filing theirs on time.

Every year Fish and Game enters the names of on-time hunters into a special lottery. Of those, 10 receive a "Supertag" which entitles them to participate in any open hunt, including controlled hunts.

Here is a list of this year's winners.

Brody J. Puckett, Boise
Thomas D. Vinion, Bonners Ferry
Carl A. Hammons, Rathdrum
Gary M. Pardue, Kamiah
Barak Conley, Blackfoot
James B. Warner, Blackfoot
Michael Gallagher, Boise
Timmy G. Foster, Nampa
Vivian V. Bolen, Boise
Oran L. Morrison, Quincy, California

Fish and Game uses the information from mandatory reports to estimate harvest, success rates and hunter numbers in each unit. Big game managers rely on the data to help shape regulations for future seasons.

Hunters wishing to be entered in next year's Supertag drawing must complete their mandatory big game harvest reports within 10 days of the end of the hunt in which they participate.
