Advisory Council on Tidal Finfisheries to Meet March 16
in Dover
The Advisory Council on Tidal Finfisheries will meet at 7 p.m. Wednesday,
March 16 in the Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Control
auditorium, Richardson and Robbins Building, 89 Kings Highway, Dover.
The agenda will begin with an introduction and approval of minutes and
continue with the following items:
- Update on issue with gill net licenses and striped bass tags for five New
Jersey residents
- Update on action proposed by Council on the issue of late finfish catch
reports
- Update on status of weakfish stocks
- Report on new regulations
a. Commercial striped bass season extension size limit
b. Recreational shark limit
c. Minimum age for commercial finfish license applicants and recreational
gill nets
d. Proposed winter flounder size, creel limit, and season
- Announcement of public hearing on ASMFC eel public information document
- Agenda items for next meeting and meeting date
