LIMITED-EDITION MOOSE PATCH ISSUED BY COLORADO DIVISION OF WILDLIFE
The Colorado Division of Wildlife (DOW) is offering its
first-ever annual wildlife patch celebrating the introduction of moose in
the state. The 4-inch embroidered cloth patch includes a Living With
Wildlife In Moose Country brochure and a full-color moose trading
card. This first-edition patch is dated 2004. Patches are often collected,
framed, placed in scrapbooks or sewn on jackets. Each year a different
species will be featured.
“Many other state wildlife agencies offer patches and we decided it was a
good education and awareness program,” said Dave Seeber, marketing manager
for the DOW. He said the next patch in the series will be a bighorn sheep
and will be released later this year. The patches cost $10 each including
postage and handling. There is a limit of five per household. To order, call
the DOW at (303) 297-1192, shop online at wildlife.state.co.us/shopdow/, or
send a check to Colorado Outdoors magazine, Moose Patch, 6060
Broadway, Denver, CO 80216.
