Fish And Game Seeking Angler Comments For 2005 Salmon Season Proposals

LEWISTON - Salmon anglers who would like to provide input concerning proposals to the upcoming salmon season are encouraged to attend one of Idaho Department of Fish and Game's public meetings.

Regional fishery personnel will provide a brief overview of prior seasons, especially the 2004 season, review factors related to 2005 projected chinook returns and explain fishery constraints that IDFG operates within.

Each meeting will be held from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the following locations:   

- Kooskia: Monday, February 28, City Hall
- Riggins: Tuesday, March 1, Salmon Rapids Lodge, (7 to 9 p.m. MST)
- Orofino: Wednesday, March 2, Ponderosa Restaurant
- Lewiston: Thursday, March 3, Helm Restaurant
- Grangeville: Monday, March 7, Oscars Restaurant

Those who cannot attend a meeting can provide written comments to Fishing Rules, Idaho Department of Fish and Game, 1540 Warner Avenue, Lewiston, ID, 83501.
