DONATION PRODUCES REDUCED PRICE LIFETIME PERMITS FOR YOUTHS - Tom
Keith
Lincoln, Neb. – The Nebraska Game and Parks Commission will offer young
Nebraskans a $130 price reduction on 185 lifetime hunting and fishing
permits or lifetime habitat stamps at its exhibit during the Omaha Boat,
Sports and Travel Show Feb. 24-27 at the Qwest Center in Omaha
The offer is made possible by a donation from the Nebraska Game and Parks
Commission Foundation, a non-profit organization supporting the Nebraska
Game and Parks Commission and its mission to provide stewardship of
Nebraska’s outdoor resources. The Foundation made the donation to further
opportunities for young Nebraskans to take part in hunting and fishing
activities.
The permit offer is valid for Nebraska residents 15 years old and younger,
and applies to lifetime fishing licenses, hunting licenses and habitat
stamps. Combination hunting and fishing permits are not included. The
permits will be sold first come, first served, and a person can purchase
multiple permits or stamps under the offer.
The regular price for a lifetime fishing permit is $300, a lifetime hunting
permit is $260 and a lifetime habitat stamp is $260. At the time of
purchase, the purchaser will pay $170 for a fishing permit and $130 for a
hunting permit or habitat stamp.
The permits will not be issued at the show but will be processed and mailed
to purchasers at a later date.
