Big Game Seasons Go To Public

Fish and Game big game managers are already thinking about the fall hunting season and they want your input.

Big game scoping meetings are coming up throughout Idaho. Fish and Game uses the meetings to share data on big game populations and harvest goals with Idahoans. At the meetings hunters have the opportunity to tell Fish and Game how they think hunting seasons should be set up to meet those harvest goals. Biologists, administrators and commissioners carefully consider hunter input in deciding when seasons should begin, how long they should last, and what methods of take are most appropriate.
