FISHING INFORMATION NIGHT AT FORT HAYS
Experts will be on hand with updates on reservoirs and other info

HAYS — On March 15, anglers young and old will be treated to a free seminar on their favorite outdoor sport. Sponsored by the Kansas Department of Wildlife and Parks (KDWP), Fort Hays State University (FHSU), and the Hays Recreation Commission, the event will feature experts on fishing, fisheries management, and fish biology. The event will be held from 7 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. in the Black and Gold Room of the FHSU Memorial Union in Hays

The agenda for the event includes the following:
bulletwelcome and introductory remarks -- Lynn Maska, Department of Health & Human Performance, FHSU, and Steve Price, regional Fisheries and Wildlife Division supervisor, KDWP;
bulletinformation on fishing prospects, techniques, and locations;
bulletfishing forecast with KDWP district fisheries biologists — Wilson and Kanopolis reservoirs, Tommie Berger; Cedar Bluff Reservoir, Lynn Davignon; Kirwin, Sebelius, and Webster reservoirs, Mark Shaw; and Glen Elder and Lovewell reservoirs, Scott Waters;
bulleta break time for KDWP Biologists to take questions; and
bulletcommercial fishing on Kansas reservoirs — guest speaker, commercial fisherman J. D. Bell.

Free door prizes, refreshments, and KDWP centennial memorabilia will be available to all participants. This event is free and open to the public. An interpreter will be provided for the hearing impaired, if requested. For more information, phone 785-628-8614.
