LITTLE
ROCK - Die-hard turkey hunters can get a little dose of the season
that’s just around the corner at the 2005 National Wild Turkey
Federation Awards Dinner. Arkansas’ spring turkey season opens in April.
The dinner will be Saturday, Jan. 15 at the Wyndham Riverfront Hotel in
North Little Rock. The Arkansas State Chapter of the National Wild
Turkey Federation is sponsoring the dinner. The event will start at 6
p.m. and the dress will be casual. Tickets to the dinner are $20 and
are available by contacting Ann Thomason at 870-231-4205 or e-mail:
turkeyhuntr@cei.net; Keith Brown at 501-835-9546 or
e-mail:
brownkk@sbcglobal.net
or Jason Majors at 501-847-6954 or e-mail:

Bob Robbins of KSSN Radio will be the master of ceremonies for the
night’s activities. A live and silent auction will be conducted with
items from the 2005 NWTF auction package.
This is the first
time the state chapter has held an awards dinner instead of a state
banquet. The board of directors made the change to properly recognize
the accomplishments of the local chapters and individuals. There will
not be a state banquet this year. For more information on the 2005 local
banquet schedule go to the Arkansas NWTF Website at
